Go big or go home..

180x90 cm.. That's pretty huge, it's like almost half of Luc's height. Also this is a failed experiment with copic markers, but I was just derping away and not knowing what I was doing, so I covered it up with charcoal and tried to finish the rest of it as good as possible. But damn, it was hard. First of all drawing on such a huge canvas, and second having no traditional background at all. And damn you charcoal.


And after I just finished this, I understood the assignment and apparently Luc and I did it all wrong. Next week we gotta present it in Japanese. Gonna be fuuunn.

started with some photos for the house as a base but i dont like this way, too much clean up work to do so its not finished but i dont wanna work on it anymore... maby ill just paint the base and fill it up with textures next time

LOL, WHICH ROOTS. I did some really crappy traditional stuff (manga style, cause Dragonball Z) when I was 14 or so, so it doesn't really count.

So first time experimenting with some acrylics and I must say, it's really fun to do. Time consuming, but fun.

So yeah, I'm gonna go on and experiment some more. I think I might buy some markers too, and try to do some cool stuff with those. Also super curious about the Japanese ink painting class. Hope it's awesome.

Ik hoop dat jullie dit een beetje uitdagend vinden ^^, zelf weet ik niet eens of ik wel afgewerkte versies kan maken i.v.m stage maar ik doe mijn best. paul tsui heeft me geïnspireerd om zoiets te doen, hij zelf deed het met castle in the sky. back to traditional medium! gonna do some marker work again
its feels really good to actualy work on somthing physical and no PS tricks so it requires alot mroe planning and thinking

there is an artstore in the school with a SHITLOAD of stuff like pigments so u can make your own paint which im really curious about, might try it sometime

talking about getting loose...

Just like eric, I did this to get loose, not because I had to work tight, but 'cuz i felt like it. It's also nice to do so.
(and to test some new lead on my mechanical pencil)

Typhoon Talas trolling Japan

This bastard was trolling Japan the past few days. 17 deaths, 54 missing so far. Luckily things weren't as bad in Kyoto, but shit was going down in Nara. 1600 mm rain fell there..

so robin and me arrived in japan 28 degrees and freakn humid and 190cm doors.....
