WIP: Do not want!

  1. hoi jo, i would say try to avoid or better yet get rid of your soft brushes for a while, until you have the hard brushes under control. Later you'll learn when it's good to use a softer brush. When you use a hard brush (pref with no pressure sensitivity to learn) you painting will have a crisper look.

  2. i think it would help you if you would draw the construction of your character. because right now the nose, mouth and chin are not at the right place, same goes for the elbow and her ear. hope this helps

Thnx

  4. ah i see, your a smudger :D. Well in that case stop using the smudge tool! that's not going to help you learn how to render. As for the pressure sensitivity, it's a personal choice. I use them both. Most of the time i use the standard round brush with sensitivity turned off and the chalk brush with sensitivity turned off. Then when i feel like i need to be able to get variation in opacity within a delicate range i use the pressure sensitive round brush.

The thing about having pressure sensitivity turned off is that you are laying down FAT PAINT, which gives your painting a crisper look + less muddy look, especially if you stay between 70 -100 %. Personally i found that 90% is the best cuase you can still mix colors without getting that translucent look.

    hope this helps. :)

  5. :c no smudging?...

    thnx ^^
